(New) Online Training – Certificate in Sensory Modulation, Trauma and Healing: The Slower You Go
the Faster You Get There

March 21 - March 22 Login to Zoom 8:30am ; Training 8:45am-4:15pm (EDT) $349, 12 CEUs Presenter: Jill Penaloza, LCPAT, ATR-BC, CGP Zoom.us, MD + Google Map

A sense of wholeness, of moving as one from the heart-mind-body-spirit, is key to well-being. When we can’t experience this connection within ourselves, we walk through life in a state of discomfort and disruption. This disconnection is particularly devastating for clients who are experiencing sensory regulation challenges and are healing from physical and emotional trauma.
Participants in this workshop will learn tools for accessing, processing and effectively using sensory input to support a the connect with a core sense of self, based in personal strength. Tools will include simple and easy to apply cognitive behavioral interventions, creative expressive activities, and relaxation and meditation practices. All activities and tools are based in current scientific research and are easily modified to meet individual client needs. This workshop will be experiential so please wear comfortable clothing. We will be doing creative journaling so you’ll need a notebook or journal, a favorite pen, and some basic art supplies such as markers.
The Ferentz Institute, Inc. is an approved sponsor of the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners for continuing education credits for licensed social workers in Maryland.
