A sense of wholeness, of moving as one from the heart-mind-body-spirit, is key to well-being. When we can’t experience this connection within ourselves, we walk through life in a state of discomfort and disruption. This disconnection is particularly devastating for clients who are experiencing sensory regulation challenges and are healing from physical and emotional trauma.
Participants in this workshop will learn tools for accessing, processing and effectively using sensory input to support a the connect with a core sense of self, based in personal strength. Tools will include simple and easy to apply cognitive behavioral interventions, creative expressive activities, and relaxation and meditation practices. All activities and tools are based in current scientific research and are easily modified to meet individual client needs. This workshop will be experiential so please wear comfortable clothing. We will be doing creative journaling so you’ll need a notebook or journal, a favorite pen, and some basic art supplies such as markers.
