Online Training – Nurturing Resiliency After Trauma: Your Past Does Not Define Your Future

April 30 Login to Zoom.com 8:30am ; Training 8:45am-4:00pm (EDT) $169, 6 CEUs Presenter: Denise Tordella, MA, LPC Zoom.us, MD + Google Map

“Everyone has a right to have a present and future that are not completely dominated and dictated by the past” – Karen Saakvitne

Resilience supports individuals in recovering from trauma. When stress, adversity or trauma strikes, people will experience anger, grief and pain and they find a way to keep functioning, both physically and psychologically, albeit many times in survival mode. Resilience isn’t about toughing it out, being stoic or going it alone. In fact, being able to reach out to others for support is a key component of being resilient.

This workshop will focus on teaching resiliency skills to support individuals recovering from trauma. Move clients from, “Why did this happen to me?” to “How can I handle this?’.

The Ferentz Institute, Inc. is an approved sponsor of the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners for continuing education credits for licensed social workers in Maryland. In order to provide Category 1 CEUs for all of our trainings, the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners requires online workshops to be live, interactive, and experienced in real time. Therefore, none of our trainings are recorded for later viewing.
