This workshop invites participants to learn simple practices and tools for enhancing their capacity for grounded and compassionate presence. From this state of loving presence, all parts of themselves can experience the true depth and fullness of each moment and share this with others. Practices and tools will include simple and easy to use relaxation, meditation, and embodied practices, cognitive behavioral interventions, and creative expressive activities. All practices and tools can modified to meet individual and client needs. Concepts we’ll explore include identify, trauma and belonging; arousal and the ANS; movement, breath and qi for self-regulation and soothing; and interoception with tracking and grounding. This will be an experiential workshop so please wear comfortable clothes and dress in layers. Bring your journal and light blanket. If you prefer to sit on the floor for meditation you may also want to bring a mat and pillow or cushion.
