True healing, wholeness and well-being naturally arise within us as we connect with a felt sense of body, mind, and spirit. As trauma therapists, some of our greatest challenges and opportunities come as we strive to help clients reconnect with their embodied experience in order to move into this state of wholeness. In this 2-part workshop, we’ll learn and practice tools to help clients return to a state of wholeness, aliveness, and vitality.
In Part 1, we’ll review the science of embodied healing, identify the benefits and challenges of embodiment work, and explore, through artmaking, relaxation, and movement practices, the relationship between embodiment and parts work. In Part 2, we’ll learn a 9-stage embodiment process that can be applied to a variety of client populations and settings. Both workshops include creative, body-based practices that invite the opening of the heart and body to access the endless possibilities for healing, led by our deepest wisdom.
