Katie O'Mailey is a seasoned trauma therapist, advocate, and clinical trainer specializing in trauma and post-traumatic growth in survivors of sexual and intimate-partner violence. She maintains her private therapy and consultation practice,  and also works at the University of Maryland at a specialized therapy and advocacy unit for sexual assault survivors on campus. In 2021, Katie was appointed to the Maryland State Commission on Trauma-Informed Care, alongside 50 other experts in the state, to create the rubric of what it means for Maryland service providers to call themselves a "trauma-informed agency." Katie also serves as a subject matter expert for the DOJ in sexual trauma, and has co-created a trauma training program, geared toward multidisciplinary teams that respond to sexual trauma on college campuses. Katie has presented to various groups all over the US, such as University police in rural Alabama, Title 9 staff in San Antonio, victim advocates in Cleveland, but her favorite group to present to is fellow therapists! She utilizes countless modalities including IFS, EMDR, SE, SoulCollage, SandTray work, and is also a yoga teacher. More importantly than any of this however, Katie truly believes that you are the expert on your own life and that you are deserving of healing!
