Naomi began her career in Baltimore at TurnAround, a non-profit agency providing trauma therapy to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. During her time there, she developed a curriculum on Healthy Relationships and implemented the material, both in individual therapy at TurnAround and in women's groups at the Baltimore County Department of Corrections in Towson, MD. The curriculum was again used and refined during Naomi's employment at Johns Hopkins' Intensive Outpatient Program for Adults (IOPA) at the Community Psychiatry Program where it became part of patients' daily group instruction. Now in private practice for the past 9 years, Naomi continues to utilize this material. It has proven to be vital in individual treatment for a broad array of clients from diverse backgrounds with varied presenting difficulties.
This workshop will focus on what constitutes a healthy relationship both with self and with others. We will look at how to help clients gain self-awareness and implement nurturing skills.
