Susan Osofsky is in private practice in Richmond, Virginia, specializing in the treatment of OCD, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and trauma. She completed her BS in Education from Syracuse University and received her MSW from Virginia Commonwealth University. Before she entered private practice over 20 years ago, Susan was a Senior Mental Health Clinician on a Crisis Intervention team at a community services board where she provided crisis intervention services to the community and Critical Incident Stress Debriefings to law enforcement, fire, and rescue workers. She has also worked in community corrections and residential drug treatment.

She is also an Online Instructor for the University of New England Graduate School of Social Work. She presents at national conferences and provides consultation for licensed social workers, psychologists, and professional counselors. Susan is a dynamic speaker who uses humor, case examples, and experiential activities to complement her presentations.

Susan is certified as a Level II EMDR practitioner and as an instructor of Life Force Yoga for Depression. She has also completed the certificate program in Advanced Trauma Treatment from The University of Maryland School of Social Work.
