Workshop Description:

This practical, half-day workshop for mental health professionals will integrate positive psychology into clinical practice. Grounded in current research, the session explores key concepts such as resilience, grit, gratitude, self-compassion, and post-traumatic growth (PTG), alongside the PERMA model of well-being. Participants will learn evidence-based interventions, including somatic practices, cognitive reappraisal, and nature-informed practices, to support emotional regulation and authentic living. Special attention is given to integrating nature-informed approaches, including the mental health benefits of green and blue spaces. Attendees will practice at least three tools that build emotional strength and lasting resilience. Participants will leave with practical strategies to enhance well-being and support clients in flourishing, even in the face of adversity.

Learning Objectives:

1. Identify core concepts of positive psychology including resilience, gratitude and grit.

2. Expain the PERMA model of well-being.

3. Implement at least three interventions that boost emotioan strength and mental well-being.

4. Integrate positive psychology principles into clinical practice to build lasting resilience.
