Workshop Description:

This comprehensive workshop uses the neurobiology of trauma to legitimize and contextualize creative techniques to promote sustainable healing from the often heavy byproducts of trauma. Participants will learn accessible tools to reinstate safety and security in the nervous system, disarm triggers, contain disruptive thoughts, restory traumatic memories, distinguish past from present, and compassionately witness and unburden inherited beliefs stemming from trauma, all in an approachable, creative, and skillfully paced way, so survivors can find their way back to their true selves. Techniques are based in evidence-based modalities specific to trauma treatment including IFS, EMDR, SE, SoulCollage, and more!

Learning Objectives:

1. Understand how trauma impacts the brain and nervous system.

2. Comprehend how trauma impacts memory and how to reinstate a sense of safety in the nervous system.

3. Learn and practice at least 6 tools/interventions to apply that promote post-traumatic growth in a skillfully paced way.
