Lisa–yes, you mentioned hesitancies about medication that clients often profess. another would be the fear of turning into an addict, particularly for those who are from families where they saw members struggle with addiction, or if they themselves had a substance abuse issue. this then encourages a discussion about opioid drugs that have an addictive component and psychotropic drugs which largely do not.
