Help your clients to understand that they can move forward from trauma to a new beautiful and meaningful way of living, even after they’ve been traumatized.
Thank you Lisa for this timely reminder of what beauty can await under the rubble so to speak. For our traumatized patients of all ages, it seems valuable to value the individual shards left behind from the whole and be willing to rearrange them in a unique way that has a different and equally valuable meaning from the whole that once was. It’s important too, I think, to value time and it’s reflective changes on the shadows of the shards and not to think the new should come together quickly and easily but with patience and appreciation.
